This position is an exciting and extraordinary opportunity to be at the root of a fast growing and constantly developing company. You will gain insight and first hand experience into an internet start-up, learn day-to-day management and build functional expertise. You should be a highly motivated individual who is interested in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and is able to quickly assume a great deal of responsibility. This internship will provide you with deep insight into how start-ups operate, and will have the opportunity to work alongside an international team with a strong track record. Furthermore you may have the opportunity to rotate across departments to identify improvement areas across key functions like recruitment, sales and quality controls, along with identifying areas for improvement in internal processes and design new processes. The internship will provide you with opportunities to exercise your initiative, creative and leadership skills. High performing interns may have the opportunity to return for full-time employment. You will be involved in everything! Such is life in a busy start up - you may be doing Sales presentations on one day and running a big marketing campaign on another! Our Business Development interns get to really experience life as an entrepreneur - and reporting to the Country Manager/s, we have very flat management structures that allow you to be quite autonomous. You will be responsible for the following: - Market research into suitable vendors and partners across a wide variety of categories and platforms - Networking - meeting potential partners and developing strategic networks and relationships - Pitching and selling our new platform to potential partners (i.e. over the phone, going out to meet clients, doing sales presentations etc), and assisting with vendor onboarding - Account Management - being the first point of contact for all sales and operational queries from vendors, and resolving/escalating issues in a timely manner - Developing and maintaining all Sales Decks and presentations - Executing online and offline marketing campaigns
