Description This Cape Town located school has a fantastic location beneath Lion's Head on the Atlantic Seaboard. The school started as a Boys High School in 1884 but in 1989 it changed to the current co-ed institution. Skills, values and positive attitudes are constantly reinforced and encouraged Responsibilities As an intern working with this High School, you will be actively welcomed as part of the school team and well integrated as a member of staff. According to your teaching subjects, you will be assigned to classrooms for both initial observation of the teaching methods and given the opportunity to find your feet, and then you will have the chance to put into practice your knowledge. You will also act as a fully functioning part of the school and take part in all sport, cultural and daily school affairs. The staff will be on hand for you to ask any questions and to guide you through your internship, as they have also had past experience with training students. They look forward to welcoming you as part of their team and learning about your international perspective Requirements - Studying towards a degree or diploma in secondary teaching/High School teaching - Some past experience in your field would be preferable but not essential - Good English language skills - A love of children and furthering your study portfolio
